Description of activities:
As part of the project development, detailed site inspections were conducted on the buildings covered by the procedure. This, together with an analysis of the bid documentation, made it possible to determine the current condition of the properties included in the bid, thereby allowing us to identify critical issues and determine the most appropriate measures to implement.
The energy efficiency measures proposed on a fee basis were therefore defined based on the identified critical issues, technical requirements, and achievable benefits. Consideration is given to the distribution of these measures across the building portfolio, the type of measure proposed, and the implementation methods. Among the main maintenance measures selected for hospital facilities are remote control and monitoring, temperature regulation at room terminals, the replacement of obsolete heat generators, and the installation of solar thermal panels for domestic hot water production.
In addition, other energy retrofit initiatives not included in the fee have been identified, such as the installation of photovoltaic systems to promote energy production from renewable sources, the replacement of refrigeration units using R22 gas (banned since 2015 due to its harmful effects on the environment), and the restoration of the functionality of trigeneration systems and their subsequent commissioning.
The technical reports and related documents were prepared in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the request for proposals, with particular attention paid to identifying strategic guidelines for the management, operation, and maintenance of hospital and healthcare facilities.
